Signing Ceremony of the Agreement on the Exemption from Visa Requirements between Tajikistan and Seychelles

On September 23, 2026, a signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles on the exemption from visa requirements for holders of valid diplomatic, service, official and ordinary passports for short-term stays was held in New York.

The Agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, and H.E. Mr. Barry Jude Jean Faure, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Seychelles, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles.

During the ceremony, in addition to signing the agreement, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Under the signed Agreement, nationals of each Party who are holders of valid diplomatic, service, official and ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements for entry into, exit from, transit through and temporary stay in the territory of the other Party for a period of up to thirty (30) days.
