On May 20, 2024, in Riyadh, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi met with the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jassem Albudaiwi.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the GCC, and exchanged views on topical regional and international issues.

On May 3, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan Waleed bin Abdurrahman Alreshaidan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia handed over a letter from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia His Highness Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud addressed to the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of the Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, as well as prospects for the development of bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of international organizations were discussed.

On April 24, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.

During the meeting, the information on the Preparatory Process for the Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028”, which will be held on June 10-13, 2024 in Dushanbe, was presented.

The sides also exchanged views on issues of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.

On March 5, 2024, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

 

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia and ways to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields were discussed.

It was emphasized that in order to expand bilateral cooperation, the parties will use all available opportunities and mechanisms and will organize a number of joint events and meetings during this year.

The foreign ministers also exchanged views on topical international and regional issues, including on the critical situation in Palestine.

On October 2, 2023, the next round of Political Consultations between the ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held in Dushanbe under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Salim and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji.

 

 

 

During the consultations, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade, investment, tourism, legal, cultural, scientific, educational and healthcare spheres, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations.
