On February 20-22, 2024, in Tehran under the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan and co-chairmanship of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held a meeting of the Special Working Group on Investment Promotion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states.

During the meeting, the implementation of the SCO Economic Development Strategy for the period until 2030 and the Programme of Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation of the SCO Member States in the part related to investment cooperation were considered.

There was also an exchange of views on the draft Agreement on the Establishment of the SCO Investment Fund and the Concept on the Establishment of the SCO Association of Investors.

Within the framework of this meeting, the Tajik side presented investment opportunities of Tajikistan.

Following the result of the meeting, a Protocol was signed.
